You may wonder what the Amex login is and how it works. Amex is the largest credit card provider and their main service is online banking. All users are assigned a user ID which can be used for ordering goods online. A user ID can be used by someone who does not have an account with Amex (because he or she has never opened one) or it can be used by the person who is trying to open an account but does not have enough funds in his or her bank account. The process usually goes like this:
After you have authorized online banking, you will be asked for some personal information. This is probably done when you sign up with a bank or when you actually go to a bank to apply for one. When you submit this information, you will be given your user ID which is then stored in a database for use by Amex when you want to purchase something. Amex will charge you a fee every time you use their credit cards for online purchases. The fee is very small and has no impact on your ability to purchase things online. It just makes life a little easier for the merchant.
To complete transactions, you will need to provide the information that they ask for. Usually, this includes your full name, your mailing address, your social security number, your phone number, your email address, your occupation and your bank account number. If you have applied for American Express credit cards, you will also be asked for the following information: your full name; your current address; your contact details; and your driver's license number. You should keep these things safe so that your personal information cannot be stolen.
To complete the whole process, you will be asked to log on to the secure server (Amex's website) and then follow the onscreen prompts. Once you do this, you will be able to see the results of your request in the form of an electronic acknowledgement. There are usually 5 tabs on the Amex login page, each of which indicates a different transaction.
For example, if you wish to transfer money from your existing card account to your new one, you will be able to click on Transfer money. In the next tab, you will be asked to enter your banking information again, this time using your regular credit card number instead of the Amex login and password. When you click on the Next tab, you will see all of your options, and if you would like to cancel your current Amex credit card number, you will be able to click on the link located in the top-right corner of the screen. Then, you can click on the link to cancel your existing card account.
On the Amex Shopping Center homepage, there are tabs containing different types of transactions. If you want to check your active bank account balance, you can . . . . . . click on the tab titled My Account. This is where you will be able to see your balance in two ways: as a percentage of your checking or savings account, and as a fixed monthly amount. If you do not see your user id on this tab, you will have to enter your user id by clicking on the Amex logo located on the upper right-hand corner of your screen, then type the four-digit user id exactly as it appears on your debit or ATM card.
